Tumaini Scholar Profile – Joy Njeri

Like many other Form One students, Joy Njeri reported to Precious Blood Kagwe on 15th January 2024 full of hope for her new journey. However, without sufficient school fees or a school uniform, she was soon sent back home.

In desperation, Joy reached out to one of the Tumaini Touch directors, determined not to let her dream slip away. A bright student and one of the top performers in her primary school, Joy simply needed someone to believe in her future.

Tumaini Touch stepped in—and it has been a beautiful story of restored hope ever since. From her very first term in Form One to date, Joy has consistently been among the top performers in her class.
Her journey is a powerful reminder of what happens when a girl’s dream is given a chance.
Let hope arise.
